June 2023 ICDP webinar The new MVBER - evolution or revolution

After three years of review and consultation, the European Commission has finally published its final proposals for the Motor Vehicle Block Exemption regime, the competition rules that apply to franchised repair, maintenance, and spare parts distribution networks in the automotive sector.  With the new arrangements coming into force on 1st June, this webinar will provide a timely opportunity to explore what the changes are, and what they mean for OEMs, for their franchised dealers and authorised repairers, and for the variety of players in the independent aftermarket.

During the webinar we looked at:

  • The background to the EC's MVBER review, and the key issues that emerged through the consultation

  • How the new rules work, and the changes that have been introduced

  • How the new EU regime differs from the parallel arrangements being introduced in the UK, and what this means for businesses operating internationally

  • The anticipated implications of the new MVBER for players both on the OEM-franchised and on the independent sides of the aftermarket

The presentation with speaking notes is shown below and plus a video recording.
